NEW YORK, January 22, 2020 - William Holman Gallery is pleased to announce the publication and Book Launch of Arbolecer, a limited edition book of works related to the current Mindscapes Exhibition of new work by Ernesto Morales, on view in New York through January 31, 2020. The Exhibition and Book Launch are graciously sponsored by the Consulate General of Argentina :: 12 West 56th. St., New York, New York. The Consulate will have an artists reception for the Book Launch opening on January 27, 2020 from 6 - 8 pm at the historic Argentine Consulate building and the show will remain open through January 31, 2020.

This ongoing body of work has been exhibited recently in Italy, France, Spain, Thailand, Singapore, Argentina, Malaysia, China and the United States, and arises from Morales' fascination with the complex mechanisms of human recollection and search for identity.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1974, Ernesto Morales is an Argentinian visual artist and writer now living in Turin, Italy. He began his career in 1992 in Buenos Aires, where he lived until 2005. In 1999 he became a Professor of Fine Arts and in 2005 he earned a Ph.D. in Visual Arts at the Academia de Bellas Artes. In 2006, after a short period in France, he moved to Rome and in 2011 to Turin. His international artistic career includes many institutional and private exhibitions in countries all over the world, including the United States, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Uruguay. In 2010 he represented Argentina during the celebration of the Bicentennial with an installation and solo exhibition at Complesso Monumentale della Commenda di Prè in Genoa. On that occasion, his book "The Time of Distance", a retrospective of his work in Italy, was published.
